SCOOTER HAWLEY

he/him ~ 18 years old ~ gay ~ snow leopard ~ 6 foot 2 ~ high school hockey player ~ native canadian

Scooter is an 18-year-old hockey player living in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

His earliest days were spent on the ice in his small hometown in Manitoba, Canada. He was very close with his alcoholic father, a hunter, and found his love for hockey playing with him. His mother, a geologist, was often away from home for days at a time. When he was 11, his father's dependency on alcohol reached a boiling point and his parent's relationship fractured. He wanted to stay in Manitoba with his father but ended up moving down to Las Cruces with his mother.

He had a difficult time adjusting at first -- living in the desert was so different from his small town, he missed his father, he had a hard time making friends at school, and most of all he was missing hockey. Scooter knew the high school had a hockey team, so he bided his time watching old hockey games and hunting in the desert.

By the time he was a freshman in high school, everything changed for Scooter. As the only new member of the team who knew anything about hockey, he was suddenly the best player on the team. That sudden success and puberty hitting him like a truck made him the heartthrob of his high school. He is six foot two, well-built, cute, and nice.

His relationship with his father is tense - Scooter loves him and thinks he's very similar to his father, but he is a damaged man. He tries to maintain connection with his son but finds it difficult, both literally with his alcoholism and figuratively with the lack of cell phone connection. Scooter's mother is not much help with this. Scooter finds that he cannot drink because he gets either depressed or enraged.

Despite this, Scooter is a very kind, chill, and nervous high schooler. Most of his social experience comes from being the nice guy of his teammates (who aren't very emotionally available) and he has never been in a relationship before, so romance and emotions tend to make him freeze up.

This is the case sexually too. He never had any particular attraction to women and always felt out of place when his teammates would talk about girls they liked or actresses they found hot. Scooter never entering a relationship is always surprising to his classmates. Rumors float around that he is gay or in a secret relationship, but the truth is that Scooter is too in his head to know that anyone perceived him as attractive. He's been asked out and flirted with but never reads it as anything but girls being nice to him.

He has never put a conscious effort to figure out his sexuality, but always found himself looking at pictures of men in his mother's art books. He jerks off often, especially to release his built up agression after practice, but not to anything in particular. Scooter enjoys jockstraps and sometimes sniffs his own after practice, although he buries them in the bottom of his clothes basket afterwards.
